Castles

For years I have used the quote by Henry David Thoreau. : "If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them." It always flashes through in the really important times of my life. When I took on management for Regis, when I left Regis to be a booth renter at an upscale salon and with no clientele, when I contacted Jewel to become an educator for Wella, I was starving for knowledge by then, up until then, I was simply an artist who could eat. I wanted a stronger Foundation, Knowledge,Skill,Production. Each shift in my career has begun with the quote I have used today. I found a printout of it a few weeks ago and didn't pay it much attention then, until this morning. I woke up hearing the quote in my own voice, seeing myself cry through a speech that I had once done using this quote as my opener. In that moment, on that day, It all hit me as to what that quote meant to me and I cried for it. Had to stop the tape, speech and all that( I was being 'auditioned') I did redo it, and very well, and with the quote. So anyway, I woke up to that memory, and what that means to me, is that something is about to happen that will only build my Foundation. I will look at all this positively and remember who I am. I will give the best services, I will be kind and I will sing! So everyone have a great day and when you decide that you deserve it for the hard work you put in, call me for a facial. I not only customize to your skin, I also Massage you hands, neck, face, shoulders, I then cleanse and massage your feet. Doesn't that sound wonderful. Call me! 3184481353

Daydreaming!

Just sitting at my desk, enjoying a cup of coffee and debating over another cup. I don't want to be one of the people who has to have that cup of coffee to get started so I restrain myself from a much enjoyed treasure. Okay, so I will make one more cup, no one is racing in here and it might as well be enjoyed. Besides, I can always make more. You know, Community really knows how to do it, can I get an Oh Yeah!
So I got this catalog, its a supply place I have used for several years and I always mark pages of things I want to order and do,this book looks like one to tag up too. I need to win the lottery! In the mean time , let me share a new item with you folks.
In this industry, with all the women who have sat in front of me, I am constantly being asked about circles and puffiness. These women are staring at their faces stretching and pulling and fretting over how old they are or how worn out they look. I usually suggest the tea bags, rest, lavender or chamomile kinda thing, but there are many options available just go int any cosmetic counter and watch the competition flare over whose product is better.
So here is a new product to check out: Vanilyx. This is a topical eye cream that is formulated to lessen the appearance of chronic dark circles and puffiness. It is not a cover up or a make up. I do not know a whole lot about it, has any one ever used it? If so please let us all know about it. Also , if anyone knows any good home remedies, please feel free to share, even the quirky ones. We all know the pains and labors of what we go through to be women.A few of us might even have owned an epilady at one point,so surely what info we have for our eye area isn't too painful. Well that's my blog for now.

Welcome!

Thanks for checking out my Tid-Bits. It is my hope to share information with you through this blog. I am not sure yet what all it is that I want to add to this, things like recipes for scrubs, or masques. I would like to find and share odd services from my industry. Maybe we can all learn a thing or two. I am not a good writer by any means, so don't grade my grammer and skills please. I am a cosmetologist, I love what I do, I have done it since I was 18 and I have enjoyed many aspects of what that liscense gave me the abilty to do.Now I take on another new adventure, owning my own business. Scary! Exciting! Yeah, all that! Plus some more and more. I am there now, took 16 years, but I get to do what I enjoy, and do it my way. With love and like a dance or a preparation for a ceremony, maybe in my own right a Ya-Ya Ceremony. Yeah, I ididn't think Spa slave seemed like an attractive position to claim, any more. So, since Leva says we are Ya-Ya's and she had Gumbo Ya-Ya forher tour business, Spa Ya-Ya it is! Hope you all like it. If you all notice the Fluer-di-lis Logo, my husband came up with the best idea, the name in the Fleur logo. Kim, a great friend really pulled it out and made it the best. So that's all for now, I am going to enjoy a game with my honey!
